Charming triangular plate/shallow dish in cream with sky blue band, and hand painted floral sprig. Produced around the 1940s and 50s. Stamped on the base is Genuine Staffordshire Hand Painted, shorter & Son Ltd, England.
A lovely rounded triangle shape, this could be either a shallow dish or deep plate, with low relief dog rose sprig, hand painted in deep pink and green. Scalloped sides levels out to a blue deep flat rim.
This plate is in good vintage condition with no cracks, a couple of plate hanging marks, a small scratch in the bowl and all over fine crazing.
A delightful, proper vintage plate or shallow dish for fruits, small bun cakes, a large trinket dish. A lovely gift for a shabby chic enthusiast. A marvellous addition for a vintage party and a great stage prop.
