This exquisite mini vase by Scheurich Keramik of West Germany is a wonderful example of Mid-Century Modern design. Produced prior to German reunification, the base is marked 505-11 and W. Germany, confirming its authenticity and place within the rich history of West German art pottery.
The vase features a deep brown ground decorated with irregular white bands that create a sense of movement and rhythm. Stylised leaf motifs in shades of blue, yellow, and reddish-brown adorn the body, providing a striking contrast while remaining true to the bold yet harmonious aesthetic of the 1960s and 1970s.
This charming vase is in good vintage condition. The rim has undergone two small Kintsugi-style gold repairs where minor chips once occurred. Rather than detracting from the piece, these elegant repairs celebrate its history and add a unique decorative element, perfectly complementing the artistic character of the vase. Please refer to the photographs for a detailed view of the condition.
Ideal for displaying a small posy, dried flowers, or a single stem, this miniature vase is equally attractive as a standalone decorative object. Its compact size makes it perfect for shelves, desks, windowsills, or display cabinets.
A delightful gift for lovers of vintage interiors, Mid-Century Modern design, or West German pottery, and a wonderful addition to any Scheurich Keramik collection.
