Vintage Japanese Satsuma Plate in thick heavy earthenware clay, with no markings.
An attractive hand-painted decorative cream plate with geisha girls in a mountainous and water scene with trees, bridges and flowers. The edge has blue and gold embossed designs with an inner blue ring dotted in embossed white glaze. All the gold paint is embossed.
There is no back-stamp. The plate has no cracks or chips and has age related crazing. See photo.
A lovely plate for display, or as a trinket dish. A lovely addition for Japanese plate collectors.
