Crafted in Sardinia, charming ceramic trinket box with hand painted pipe player on the lid. c1985-90. This is pottery signed.
Red clay dipped in 'marbleised' green and yellow glaze with black trim, the pot has a lined design just below the rim. The lid is also 'marbleised' in green and yellow with black trim; and has a piper in traditional clothing scored and hand painted in muted tones of browns and blue. This is pottery signed 'Ceramiche MANIS S.N.E' Oristano Sardegna, on both the pot and lid.
In very good vintage condition with some glaze chips around the rim of the lid but only noticeable if looking closer. The pot is intact. See Photos.
