Rare Daisy Block Boat by Sowerby Glass, which was registered, pattern #42947 from the February 1886 catalogue. The registered number is embossed on the inside of the boat along with the Sowerby Peacock mark.
A beautiful boat with a hint of pink, which originally had a stand and has long since gone. The boat is in good condition considering it is 137 years old. There are a couple of nibbles on the bow and a small chip on the inside of the stand, and fleabites along the base ridge, which are all age related. See photo.
A Collector Item, a nice pot pourri or grape bowl. A truly lovely vintage item.
