A delightful Victorian/Edwardian flow blue posy vase by Myott's Pottery, from the sought-after 'Oriel' pattern collection. The backstamp suggests this charming piece was produced in the early 1900s, making it a wonderful example of decorative pottery from the turn of the century.

The vase stands on an elegant fluted, scalloped base accented with gilt banding and embossed detailing. The body rises to a rounded, bellied form, beautifully decorated with embossed ornamentation and a classic flow blue design featuring peonies and foliage. A gilt band encircles the upper body, above which an embossed frieze—possibly depicting fleur-de-lis motifs—flares outward to a scalloped rim finished with delicate gold edging.

The blue backstamp remains clear and well-defined. The vase is in good antique condition for its age, with a chip to the underside of the rim and two cracks along opposing moulded seams. The flow blue decoration remains vibrant and intact, while the gilding shows some expected age-related fading. Please refer to the photographs for a detailed view of the condition.

Originally, this piece would likely have formed part of a Victorian or Edwardian washstand set, alongside a matching jug and basin, and may have been used as a toothbrush holder or small toiletry vase. Today, it would make a charming decorative vase, adding period character to a bathroom, bedroom, dressing table, or shabby chic interior.

A lovely gift for collectors of flow blue pottery, antique ceramics, or Myott's wares, and a wonderful addition to an 'Oriel' collection.
