Motley Crew of Creamers and Jugs
This eclectic collection of creamers and jugs, consisting of six creamers and one soup bowl, offers a charming glimpse into the craftsmanship of the early to mid-20th century. Each piece, marked with stamps on their bases, is in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks, though some display the charming craze lines typical of vintage ceramics.
Squat Ceramic Creamer
This charming creamer features a hay cart and horse scene, with faded gold gilt on the handle and rim. It bears the Alfred Meakin stamp and measures 7 cm in height and 14 cm in width from handle to spout.
Chinese or Japanese Porcelain Jug
Adorned with scenes of pagodas, trees, and water, this jug is decorated with gold gilt on the handle and rims, showing minimal fading. It might have originally had a lid, and has been used traditionally as a milk jug by my Grandma. It is stamped on the base and stands 11 cm tall with a width of 14 cm from handle to spout.
Unusual Triangular Navy Blue Jug
This jug is uniquely shaped with a hand-painted romantic couple depicted on its three sides, complemented by faded gold gilt. It measures 12.5 cm in height and 12 cm in width from handle to spout.
Pretty Country Flower Jug
With hand-painted country flowers and ears of corn, this jug is marked "Made in England." It measures 10 cm in height and 13 cm in width from handle to spout.
Glass Urn Jug
Possibly dating back to the Georgian era, this jug features star and dimple cut-out. It stands 10 cm tall and 7 cm wide.
Glass Creamer
This piece boasts a star within a diamond cut-out and a pointed scallop rim. It measures 5 cm in height and 10 cm in width from handle to spout.
Portmeirion Soup Cup
This delightful soup cup with a handle is decorated both inside and out with pretty pink, blue, and white flowers and foliage. It is stamped on the base and measures 7.5 cm in height and 12 cm in width.
