A lovely Japanese Sugar Bowl with scroll handles and lid, decorated with bridges, trees, pagoda and Mount Fuji and made in the style of Kitani and Noritake. The bowl is stamped on the bottom and possibly from the 1960's.
This sugar bowl is in good clean condition with no cracks, chips or crazing. There are no fading in the design, there is a piece of colour missing around the rim of the lid, this was done during manufacturing process. There is some glazing anomalies in the inside rim. See photo.
A visually pretty bowl with gold handles rising above the rim and a typical Japanese scene which is duplicated on the lid with gold knob. This would be a lovely feature on a kitchen counter or tea tray.
Sugar bowl measurement
Height base to knob: approx 10-10.5 cm
Width handle to handle: 16cm
Width of belly: approx 10cm
