Heavy Trophy Bowl, in clear thick glass with a hint of purple. Unmarked and probably produced in the 1980s.
Standing on an octagonal footed pedestal, the bowl rises into an oval shape topped with 8 deep scallop rims. Two trophy handles attached to the base arch into flat tops at the top of the bowl. The glass is thick and heavy and has a delicate hint of purple.
This bowl is in good condition without any cracks, chips, or nibbles. However, there are some scratches and manufacturing air bubbles. See Photos.
A heavy bowl for a myriad of uses: fruit, sweets, savouries, and thick enough to use as a key bowl in the hallway. This would also make a lovely wide posy bowl for a large selection of small flowers in the centre of a dining table or at a conference function.
