Art Deco bookend ornaments from Europe during the 1930s.
1. A Jugendstil bookend, attributed to Goldscheider, features 2 nude children holding up the pages of an open book, and has the numbers XII in the base .
2. A thinking man with an open book sitting on decorated steps, and has foreign and 8 stamped on base.
Please note: The bookends are not a pair, the other halves are missing.
Both bookends are in used vintage condition. Please inspect photos for closer look. The children bookend has a big chip on a bottom corner, which has been painted in and not noticeable unless looked at closer. The thinking man has a very small chip on his nose, which if painted would not be noticed. A chip on the back corner of the steps. There are no cracks and age related crazing.
