Rare pink lustre ware porcelain Jug with a bride and pageboy in low relief.

Early 1900s, possibly Victorian, unmarked and has 1365 imprinted on base.

The pink lustre glaze porcelain, 1 pint jug has an ornate angular handle.  One side depicts white, low relief unglazed bride with bouquet, and page boy carrying her veil train.  This is striking against a background of church gates and brickwork in green lustre glaze, which has undertones of purple and pink.  The base is white with line and dot decoration, the white handle has green glaze on one side and there are remnants of gold rim.

This jug has a few manufacturing anomalies; a chip on the side of the base, which has glazing run-down the sides of the chip, another on the handle.  The pink lustre glaze has manufacturing bubbles and a few black dots on the inside.  Otherwise this is in good vintage condition with no other chips, cracks and very minimal nibbling and crazing.  See Photos.

This jug could have been a wedding gift as per the depiction of the bride.  It's an unusual design, which would make a fabulous floral centrepiece on the head table of a wedding breakfast, or a water jug for the bride and groom.  Equally a great vintage wedding gift or a bridal shower gift.
