Both pieces have back stamps on the base.\n\nThe ginger jar is elongated bowl shaped on a yellow background decorated with imprinted swirl shapes and pink flowers. On opposing sides on white background are hand painted branches with flowers and a bird. The base and rim are decorated with blue and red ornate designs. The lid has the same yellow patterning around the edge finishing with a white top and hand painted flower.\nThe bowl has the same same yellow patterning as the ginger jar and is interspersed with Chinese writing. The lid on the jar has 3 very small chips and the outside rim of the bowl has a chip which has been repaired.
