Georgian c1820s","description":"A rare set of 6 Antique jelly glass in lead crystal glass, possibly Georgian and produced in the early 1820s.  \n\nThe tall fluted bowl has slice cut panels with a knife cushion stem; the flat base has a polished pontil. All 6 glasses are in good vintage condition with tooling marks, bubble and minor age related marks and scratches, one of the glass' has a tooling dent on the base. See Photo.  Lead crystal glass has lovely rainbow refractions and a fine tonal ring.\n\nThe jelly glasses used by wealthy people of that era would be displayed on tasers (glass trays) like a cake stand and the wealthier would have them stacked like a pyramid.
